The condition of the subject and moral life in digitized society
Keywords:
digital native, datafication, social algorithm, informed consent, moral autonomyAbstract
The aim of this essay is to reflect on the socio-digital and moral conditions that shape existence-presence of the subject in the contemporary world. The content is divided into two sections: an approach to the world of the digital native and the moral life of the subject in digital society. The hermeneutic-phenomenological approach was used in its construction, and the discourse analysis technique was employed methodologically. The conclusions establish that the identification and analysis of socio-digital categories, such as the datafication of life and the phenomena derived from the archetypal nature of the social algorithm, cause data to become a source of existential revelation and illumination, and an important asset in the economic model implemented in digital society. It also raises critical analysis of situations that can lead to the loss of autonomy, the manipulation of consciousness, or the invasion of the subject's privacy.
