This research was proposed as a general objective to describe the practices implemented by the horticulturists of the municipality of Orica, Francisco Morazán, and their relationship with the occupational risks to which they are exposed using pesticides in tomato cultivation. Methodologically, it is presented as a descriptive study with a quantitative approach. The data was obtained through the application of a survey to the farmers of the municipality dedicated to the cultivation of tomatoes, with the purpose of identifying their practices and the occupational risks in which the population dedicated to this activity incurs. In the results, it can be observed that the risks are greater due to the lack of application of Good Agricultural Practices (gap) and the poor schooling of those who work in this area.
