Abstract

Entrepreneurial Education (EE) is key to dynamize territories and their economies; its contribution at the level of knowledge allows the creation of spaces for individual and collective growth. The objective of this article is to analyze the relevance of EE in the municipality of Santa Rosa de Copán-Honduras (SRC-HN) to generate improvement alternatives that promote human development and entrepreneurial growth. The Logical Framework tool was used as a method for data analysis in each of its stages. Simultaneously, interviews were conducted with local stakeholders and 66 entrepreneurs in the municipality were surveyed. Among the main findings, a generalized lack of knowledge about the importance of EE was identified, which is related to the low educational level of the population and the low awareness of the need for entrepreneurial training to start and maintain a business. This indicates the importance of generating comprehensive, inclusive and sustainable strategies around training programs, advertising campaigns for entrepreneurial education and alliances between institutions, promoting participatory spaces on issues related to finance, marketing, legal and administrative aspects.
