Abstract

The female headship, reveals a reality that is adjacent to a culture imbued inequities and inequalities. That is, discover a society that promotes and reinforces the stigmatization and social exclusion, closing spaces obscuring opportunities and capabilities of women. This article is presented in the context of a Honduran society manifested open but is constrained in its socio-cultural reality, with a patriarchal legal heritage. Similarly, social reality of inequality that is impacted by other family members and therefore in Honduran society. Female heads of household, according to the study findings, a grip of poverty in the country. Since this head mostly is assumed by women with their precarious income and low education with ages. The absence of human assets (education, health and labor) and the lack of corporate assets (articulated household, social networks, support programs etc.) shows that are socially vulnerable households.
