Abstract

When speaking about social inequality, there are several views and perspectives from which it’s plausible to approach the subject. This article addresses the topic from two perspectives: a) From the conditions of inequality which the women face in terms of access to living means and b) In formal terms, relative to the political and jurisdictional level, which in a way, is not more than the androcentric resonance of the foundations in which the State is built, from and for males. To avoid falling in false conceptions, the article provides a brief delimitation of the elements that are located in the very base of social inequality, where women turn out to be one of the main victims of a patriarchal system. The authors Rita Segato and Alda Facio, approach the subject in a manner that contributes to this purpose.
