Abstract

The new coronavirus originated in the city of Wuhan, China, this disease mainly affects the respiratory system, the symptoms can range from mild to severe, likewise, there is another variety of clinical  resentations in other systems, such as the central nervous system, there is currently evidence from a large number of publications of neurological presentation as manifestations of COVID-19. Currently, the neurotropic potential of the coronavirus to invade the central nervous system has been described and various mechanisms of secondary damage have also been described. The different neurological presentations in children as in adults can be variable, and these include manifestations of the central and peripheral nervous system and muscular diseases.
