The article addresses the secondary school student’s movement to understand the demand for the officialization of schools in Honduras. The time of analysis corresponds to the period of formation of the Federation of Secondary Students (FESE) in 1970 until the officialization of the Schools in 1982. Through the investigation of statistical, newspaper and secondary sources, three key elements were identified: (1) The limited access to public secondary education for Honduran youth, (2) the organization of the Federation of Secondary Students (FESE), and (3) the collective action for the officialization of schools in Honduras. This demonstrates the participation of students as key social actors in the democratization of education.
