The following work is framed within a historiographical analysis of the 200th anniversary of the
promulgation of the first Constitution of Honduras, which will be commemorated on December 11 of this year, 2025. Throughout the different chapters, the various legal compendiums and constitutions that governed the Central American provinces, grouped together in the Captaincy General of Guatemala during 300 years of colonial rule, are outlined. Although much has been written on
the subject of the Honduran Constitution, the works produced have been framed within a legal interpretation from the perspective of law and the interpretation of laws. In contrast to this view, the chapters that make up the following research combine legal and historical perspectives on the drafting of the Honduran Constitution of 1825.
