In the following essay, we will take a view on several aspects of the critical reflections of Santiago Castro-Gómez on Žižek’s points of view about key issues of the current emancipatory struggles, regarding his book Revoluciones sin sujeto.Slavoj Žižek y la crítica del historicismo posmoderno. We may find in this work some elements that an emancipatory Marxist thought should take into account, in order of placing itself on the height of the current challenges: The importance of subjectivation, the complexity of ideology and the contradictions and limits of particularist reivindications, as well. The stagnation, reversal or the limitation in some progressive projects seem to confirm this.
