Abstract

These article inquiries into the basic diet grains in Nicaragua and how territorial development might stimulates competence. It begins with a market theory and territorial development synthesis accomplished with a competence policy description. Thereafter, it continues a discussion on legal framework, characteristics and importance of basic diet grains within a territorial development approach. Finally, it concludes there is a lack of social, ecological and economic territorial policy expression joint to competence in this market. As evidences in this field are anticompetitive and disloyal practices happened in rice market as opposed to competence almost without restrictions in corn and beans cases.
