Gender based political violence against women (GBPVAW) is a growing problem in Latin America and goes hand in hand with the fight for women's rights. The concept of GBPVAW was typified in Mexico following the political reform of April 13, 2020. Despite the importance of the reform de jure, the daily experience of women participating in politics de facto reveals that significant challenges persist. This text is interested in the architecture of social thought and the process of construction of social representation (SR) and its relationship with the sex-gender system based on a qualitative triangulated methodology.
