Since 1991, the System has sought to carry out joint actions among the member states, in order to solve problems that they have in common, and the Covid-19 pandemic being a global burden of which the region is not alien, coupled with factors typical of the region as a situation of poverty, malnutrition, unemployment, among other problems that it has aggravated, it was necessary for the System to propose a program to combat these scourges together. This essay contains an analysis of the actions carried out by the Central American Integration System during the Covid-19 pandemic as a whole. The purposes and purposes of the System contained in the 1991 Tegucigalpa Protocol are presented, in order to determine if the actions raised in two documents issued by the System comply with them. Finally, the real actions carried out by the institutions of the system are analyzed, pointing out its successes and weaknesses.
