PSYCHOLOGICAL EVALUATION OF A PATIENT WITH CHRONIC DISEASES: A CASE STUDY

Age, interpersonal relationships, selfassessment, self-esteem, motivational hierarchy, among other aspects, are part of the analysis of personality and family situation carried out in this research. The objective of the case study is to analyze the personological characteristics and the family situation of a patient with a pathological history of Arterial Hypertension (AHT) and Bronchial Asthma (AB). A qualitative methodology will be used, observation, interview and sentence completion will be applied as research methods. The research instruments that will be used are the observation guide, the patient interview guide, the interview guide with the patient’s relatives and the ten wishes test. The subject is an older male, 69 years old, with a pathological history of arterial hypertension and bronchial asthma; the personality in the subject analyzed is of the passive-dependent type, he is introverted and avoids conflicts, new actions and changes. His family is medium, multigenerational and extended nuclear.
