The main objective of this article is to share the experience and results of the project “Wood Therapy in Health: contribution of the CURLA-UNAH Forestry Engineering program to CRILA and Cricol users” and to demonstrate the role that the Forestry Engineering program carried out with the work of teachers and students for the benefit of society. The methodology of the work carried out consisted of identifying the needs of the Comprehensive Rehabilitation Center of the Atlantic Coast (CRILA) and the Comprehensive Rehabilitation Center of Colón (Cricol), then proceeding to carry out the designs and production of the wood products, for this, the students make use of the machinery and equipment of the cabinetmaking workshop of the Forestry Engineering Industries department, with the supervision of teachers and workshop staff; This type of work helps in their technical training and also generates social awareness in the student. The link made by CURLA-UNAH with the rehabilitation centers in the northern part of Honduras is an example of the academy's projection aimed at a segment of the population that needs it most, for their respective physical and motivational rehabilitation, mainly in people with special abilities or challenges.
