Strengthening Folkloric Dance in Yamaranguila, Inti bucá (2014-2016)

The purpose of this work is to demonstrate the contributions in terms of university-society links from the academic unit of Folklore Dance, which is attached to the Department of Art, with the participation of students from the Folklore Dance workshops and the ARTE-UNAH Folklore Dance Group. The main objective of the intervention of the folkloric dance area in Los Planes Pacaya, Yamaranguila, Intibucá, Honduras, Central America responding to the different plans, programs and projects proposed by the Mayor's Office of Yamaranguila for the benefit of the economy, education, health and culture of this community; in addition, in strengthen the national identity, since some essential elements that characterize the dance manifestations and that contri-bute to determining the identity of society have been gradually lost.
