The proper management of chronic non-communicable diseases such as hypertension and diabetes requires the implementation of pharmaceutical interventions to ensure the effectiveness and safety of the treatment. One of the most effective interventions is health education, which significantly improves the population's knowledge about these diseases and the rational use of medications. The implementation of health education in rural communities that do not have access to health facilities can contribute greatly to informing, motivating and helping the population to practice healthy lifestyles and prevent clinical complications. In the Zuntule community of Francisco Morazán, Honduras, health education was provided to parents of the Doctor Salvador Corleto school, with the intention of providing knowledge and raising awareness about the importance of therapeutic compliance and family participation as a fundamental pillar in the proper management of these chronic diseases, as part of promoting the socioeconomic development of the community.
