In El Salvador, the likelihood of finding a woman victim of gender-based violence is 34 out of a 100. Objective: Build risk and relative risk scenarios for women, taking into account certain characteristics like childhood exposure to violence and sociodemographic aspects, which increase the likelihood of women becoming victims of certain types of violence. Methodology: Factors that increase women´s risk to be victims of gender-based violence were analyzed using a qualitative response model, using data from El Salvador's National Violence against Women 2017 Survey. Results: The average likelihood for women to be victims of any kind of violence is 29.3 %, considering their age, personal history, and the median values of population density. Conclusions: Women's personal history is a determinant factor, since relative risk increases if they have been victims of violence before age 15; in that case, possibilities triple, with respect to women without a history of violence.
