Abstract

The presence of green spaces public (EVP) is becoming more diverse and more importance. The elevation of the qualification of the EVP helps promote habitable zones well designed, comfortable and high environmental value, favoring the development of sustainable cities. Proposes a methodology for the classification of the public green spaces on the basis of a comprehensive approach that includes dimensions: morfotipologica, functional, socio- psychological and ecosystem from the relationships which are established between man and his environment. Defines the concept of public green space and presents the variables and indicators from which the theoretical model for the classification of these spaces is structured. This approach includes the development of a spatial model of relations, which illustrates graphically the issues selected for analysis, as well as their interrelationship. As a result, achieved an association optimum of the elements comprising the relationship of man with his medium in the analyzed areas.
