Abstract

In this paper the dilemma of the patrimonial conservation in the present time arises from the generational characteristics and its relation with the objects testimony. The approach from the virtualization of the heritage has been put in debate in several aspects of the current life. It is likely that we are facing a conceptual crisis that is based on the questioning towards the most orthodox conservation that uses the intervention actions with a rigid and anachronistic scheme that worships the pristine materiality of the patrimonial object. It is also probable that these questions towards restoration as an intervention action on the object, as an eminently practical matter, does not consider that the restoration is only an action that starts from the conservation and this action comes into play when an object presents deterioration, ideally the Objects should not deteriorate. The approach demystifies originality and materiality and provides opportunities to increase technological tools as well as support mechanisms such as copying, cloning, reproduction and virtual reality as conservation mechanisms.
