Publication Frequency
The Revista de Ciencia y Tecnología El Higo is published biannually. The first issue, from June to November, is published in June. The second issue, from December to May, is published in December.
Type of Articles
The journal accepts articles in both English and Spanish. We are committed to promoting linguistic diversity and inclusion in the scientific community. We encourage authors to present their research in their native language, regardless of whether it is English or Spanish.
The Revista Científica publishes the following types of articles:
Original research articles:
Papers submitted must be original, originating from research. They should be between 5 and 20 pages in length, although longer papers will also be accepted, but not less than 5 pages, written in a single column, citation and reference style according to the APA Standard, with a minimum of 25 bibliographic references and a maximum of 50, tables and figures should be included.
Original review articles:
Must be original. Minimum of 5 pages, no more than 20 pages including the full text, written in a single column, the objective must be the systematic analysis and review of published or unpublished research results, must include at least 50 references and up to a maximum of 100. Citations and bibliography according to APA Standards.
It is recommended that:
The title should have a maximum of 15 words.
The abstract should not exceed 250 words.
The first and last names of the authors must be complete, it is not acceptable to place only the initial letter of the name followed by a period.
The Title, Abstract and Keywords should be presented in Spanish and English.
The reference to the Curriculum of each author should not exceed 10 lines in paragraph form.
