Open access policy

This Scientific journal provides immediate open access to its content, based on the principle of offering the public free access to research, allowing free downloading, reading, storing and printing of articles without prior permission from the editor. as long as it is non-commercial; helping greater global exchange of knowledge.

Article processing and publishing charges (APC)

The Science and Technology magazine El Higo does not charge APC to authors for the publication of their articles. Processing costs are covered by the National University of Engineering (UNI).

Digital preservation policy

Digital file preservation policies are based on the LOCKSS initiative. Internally, a backup is made on external hard drives of each published issue. They are also kept in the Institutional Repository of the National University of Engineering and in the Nicaraguan journal portal.

Internationally, the journal's articles are stored in Central American Journals Online (CAMJOL).
