Abstract

Abstract: In the last decade, the evolution of technology is more evident than ever, most people, especially teenagers in our environment, have access to it through different devices, such as tablets, smartphones, computers, etc. In addition, in the field of education, the use of different types of technologies is essential, either to create communication with co-workers or for educational purposes. The core of this article is to demonstrate through a literature review the impact and value of podcasts in education and how to create podcasts as a support for all those who want to use them to practice listening skills. All the information was obtained from reliable sources and discussed according to our understanding of it, it was also focused on our experiences as language students and teachers. We offer the creation of a podcast as an option to practice listening. All the topics covered in the podcast can be found in the school’s schedule of English subjects established by the Ministry of Education. Additionally, the podcast was uploaded to a blog; therefore, students and teacher can access it online just by getting the link from lesson plans or download it on smartphones.
