Abstract

This article is a bibliographic review for a project entitled: The use of storybooks to improve reading comprehension skills in the English language. Through this study, generalities of the problem of the research project are raised. Observation guides were developed to carry out the study, other important aspects were considered as the context of English language teaching in Nicaragua. At the end, we compare the similarities or differences between the information found by other researchers and what was found in our context in the discussion section.
