Abstract

Higher education in Nicaragua has multiple purposes that seek to contribute to the comprehensive development of the country and train competent professionals committed to their society. The objective of this essay is to reflect on the role of higher education in the training of professionals skilled in various areas of knowledge. This role implies providing a quality education that provides students with the necessary skills and abilities to face the challenges of the world of work, and contribute to the development of the country. Among the important aspects that emanate from higher education instances are the development and transformation of programs, studies that promote comprehensive training and the scientific-technical preparation of students. Additionally, programs that allow them to acquire the necessary skills to face the challenges of the modern world of work.
