Abstract

The purpose of this essay is to reflect on the fragility of ethical principles in educational environments and teaching careers. To this end, the discussion on ethics in an environment where teachers understand the rules from their own perspective and where the values and actions of justice are still left aside by their own or external interests or interpretations of the teacher. This leads to the formation of individuals without solid emotional structures that reinforce the fundamental and ethical values of the teaching career. There will also be a discussion on plagiarism from the teacher’s perspective and the causes that would lead to an erroneous interpretation of plagiarism. In addition, some aspects of plagiarism occurring at the university level and appearing in the publications of scientific articles and graduate theses are identified.
