The game and the sport: confronted contents through the practice of physical education

The game and sport are essential curricular contents for the practices of physical education, in this sense, the objective of this work of an essay nature was to analyze the relevance and approach of these contents by the teachers of the area, in the Dominican Republic. The game can be the preferred medium of teachers at the primary level even more so, in the first cycle of this level since, by their nature, students are more oriented to recreational activities that cause them enjoyment such as games, activities that, they can help them develop their learning according to their needs. On the other hand, the sport takes more height in the second cycle of the primary level, but, in a more concrete way in the secondary level where, the curriculum proposes a physical education focused on sports activities in its great totality. In this order, through the argumentation of this work, it is concluded that a choice is presented that superimposes one content over the other, which could generate didactic difficulties in the processes of the area, for which it is necessary that teachers have the required knowledge to be able to implement these contents objectively for the benefit of their students.
