This essay points out the importance of motor coordination for the development of physical abilities in elementary school students. Motor coordination is of great importance for the development of physical abilities in elementary school students, since it involves the ability to control and combine muscle movements to achieve an efficient motor action. Through activities that promote motor coordination, students can develop fundamental motor skills with greater efficiency and control, such as running, jumping, throwing and catching, which are essential for physical, sports, recreational and play activities in the classroom. Likewise, motor coordination has a positive impact on students’ cognitive and emotional development because it stimulates the connection between the brain and the body, which can improve concentration, memory, and problem-solving skills, which can increase students’ confidence and self-esteem.
