Abstract

The present Essay entitled: Recovering territories for decent housing, has the objective of disseminating about the human right that families have to have a home, where they can live safely, with their children. It was also prepared in order to be presented within the framework of the XII Central American Congress of Anthropology, based at UNAN - Managua and that on this occasion, in addition to the academic sharing of this science, has led to an interdisciplinary meeting where to share experiences and realities that they occur in everyday life from our communities in Central American countries. The experience is presented by the National Coordinator for Marginalized Areas of Guatemala. ACONAPAMG, which is a member organization of the South Jubilee / Americas Network in the Mesoamerican sub-region. The issue of recovering decent housing in Guatemala is linked to SDG 1 and 11, however, the deadly capitalist system that indebts the people to privatize common goods, together with the fact that it is a patriarchal, racist, classist, exclusive and Violence is the main cause of so many families living in the open in our Central American region.
