Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • El envío no ha sido publicado previamente ni se ha sometido a consideración por ninguna otra revista (o se ha proporcionado una explicación al respecto en los Comentarios al editor/a).
  • El archivo de envío está en formato OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF o WordPerfect.
  • Siempre que sea posible, se proporcionan direcciones URL para las referencias.
  • El texto tiene interlineado sencillo; 12 puntos de tamaño de fuente; se utiliza cursiva en lugar de subrayado (excepto en las direcciones URL); y todas las ilustraciones, figuras y tablas se encuentran colocadas en los lugares del texto apropiados, en vez de al final.
  • El texto se adhiere a los requisitos estilísticos y biliográficos resumidos en las Directrices del autor/a, que aparecen en Acerca de la revista.
  • Si se envía a una sección evaluada por pares de la revista, deben seguirse las instrucciones en Asegurar una evaluación anónima.

Author Guidelines


The Electronic Magazine of Knowledge, Knowledge and Practices is a biannual publication (June and December) and multidisciplinary in the field of Education, edited by Researchers Professor of the Mathematical Community of the Nicaraguan Caribbean Coast (CMCCN), open to collaborations of character empirical and that communicate research results in any of the different fields of study of Education. Manuscripts are admitted in the topics:

 

  •  Initial teacher training and professional development
  • Curricular development and educational innovation
  • Technologies for learning
  •  School organization
  •  Inclusive education
  •  Intercultural Education
  • Education and Psychology
  • Sociocultural Perspectives: Ethnoeducation and Ethnomathematics
  • Education, Leisure and Human Development
  •  Didactic Designs

 


All articles and collaborations must have an extension between 6000 and 8000 words (including tables, figures and references): Title, in Spanish and English. Abstract and abstract (150-250 words). Keywords, in Spanish and English (3-6 words). The structure of the body of the article will be adjusted to the usual sections according to the type of manuscript:

 


• In research articles. It is derived from a research, learning or teaching experience and accounts for part of it. It refers to the achievements and possible educational implications. The objectives, the research method used and the results of the chosen part to be shared in the journal are stated. It must express its own purposes and show independence with respect to the research that sustains it; that is, it has to manifest semantic self-sufficiency. Consequently, its structure is as follows: 1. Introduction. 2. Literature. 3. Methodology. 4. Results. 5. Discussion and conclusions. 6. List of references.

 


• In Intercultural Action Research articles. It is about creating and recreating knowledge, knowledge and practices of peoples through the democratization of knowledge and the epistemic dialogue of knowledge and doings. Likewise, it seeks to reflect on and solve problematic situations in and with the community, that is, the search for solutions that deepen the harmony between the spiritual and the material in balance with Mother Earth. 1. Introduction (Analysis of the context). 2. Harmony of knowledge. 3. Designs of the roads: Intercultural Action Research. 4. Coexistence and Community Construction of Knowledge, Knowledge and Practices. 5. Dialogue of Knowledge and Doings. 6. Action Plan. 7. Reference List.

• In review and substantiation articles. It proposes a bibliographic review of a specific field of study related to the subject that the Electronic Magazine of Knowledge, Knowledge and Practices addresses. You can review the most relevant exhibitors, their main ideas and contributions. You can make analyzes and comments based on objective and supported statements. Therefore, its structure is as follows: 1. Introduction. 2. Theoretical background. 3. Methodology. 4. Results and discussion. 5. Conclusions and future perspectives. 6. List of references.

 • In articles on didactic initiatives or educational innovations: 1. Introduction. 2. Theoretical Foundation. 3. Proposal or Intervention. 4. Conclusions and future perspectives. 5. List of references.

 • In trials. This type of expository text that defends a thesis or opposes two theses about the specific study object that it deals with. It is a very reflective discourse in which it focuses on the analysis of current studies and the ideas proposed up to that point, with the aim of transcending its scope and putting its relevance into discussion. It is a text of maturity, in which the foundation is constituted by the discussion of ideas. That is why the following structure is proposed: 1. Introduction. 2. Development. 3. Conclusions and future perspectives. 4. Lists of references.


• Book Reviews. The Electronic Magazine of Knowledge, Knowledge and Practice will work with publications of specialized books in the field of Intercultural Higher Education with invited firms. It is important to mention that this section appears only in some numbers.

 


The use of footnotes should be restricted to the minimum. It is recommended only for long explanatory notes that may distract the reader. You can download the manuscript submission template, check according to the type:
