Use of mobile phones in the primary education classroom

The question, should cellphones be included in elementary school classrooms? guides this research under the qualitative paradigm with a descriptive approach, where thirty-two postgraduate students reflected in a forum debate. The results show the recognition of the potential that mobile phones offer due to their presence and motivation. In addition, the purposes of its use linked to educational support and the competences that students must acquire in this digital age are agreed. Disadvantages of its use are recognized, which are related to distraction, dependence and the inequality it generates in the classroom. But, the need for their incorporation is recognized, this should be a function of the training of teachers, training of students and parents.
