This article addresses the intercultural effectiveness of teachers at the University of the Autonomous Regions of the Nicaraguan Caribbean Coast (URACCAN) in their educational practice in the multicultural context of the Caribbean Coast of Nicaragua. The research is framed within the quantitative approach with a non-experimental, cross-sectional and descriptive design. A scale with two subscales and 35 items was applied, built from the review of the works Guyton and Wesche (2005) validated by experts. There was the participation of 163 teachers from the territories where the university is present. The SPSS statistical package version 25 was used to process the data. The instrument had high reliability, Cronbach's alpha equal to 0.99. The results reflect a positive assessment of the intercultural effectiveness scale, where 74% of the participants expressed complete agreement with the items contained in the instrument. The average score obtained by the teachers was 146.4 out of 175 possible points, with a median of 159 points, which indicates that the URACCAN teachers have the skills and attitudes to manage cultural diversity in the learning environments in the who carry out their educational practice, regarding the sociodemographic and educational variables, no statistical differences were found concerning the subscales and total scale.
