Abstract

"Sport is too much of a game to be business and too much business to be a game", this is a phrase that is extracted from the book "Principles and practice of Sport Management" (Masteralexis, Barr and Hums), and that certainly describes a very accurate way not only reality of football, but of sport in general. This article presents the current situation of Salvadoran football, from an administrative-sports perspective, with the objective of identifying opportunities and deficit areas, and thus aim for deeper research in the short term. For the realization of this article it has been taken as a basis research conducted through the classroom, graduation work, sports related texts and recent Salvadoran communication.
