Abstract

Information and communication technologies have been inserted into the Salvadoran curriculum with greater presence since the 21st century, to such an extent that this component is a transversal axis in the National Teacher Training Plan, generating
training processes to strengthen the use of ICT in the classroom; In 2020, as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Salvadoran State called on teachers from private and public schools to implement the "Educational Continuity Plan", where they could remotely develop the contents from their homes.

After a year, Salvadoran education joined the path of digitalization of education through the Ministry of Education, to provide technical assistance within the framework of the training process and capacity building for virtual education. (MINEDUCYT, 2020), for which the study presents the impact of the use of ICT in this process of educational continuity in the face of the health emergency, seeking to provide a clearer picture of the level of adaptation, adequacy and quality of education to through the use of ICT, based on the pedagogical experiences of teachers throughout the virtual teaching process until the process of reopening face-to-face classes in 2021.
