In recent years, peace has been a type of enormous concern and importance; more so in a country like Colombia that has been building its transition from a war period, of more than 50 years, to a peace that the majority of the population is not used to.
This change has generated more than happiness, fear and concern.
A society that has lived with fear for so long, the idea of peace is strange to it.
Moreover, when it implies the issue of forgiveness and reconciliation.
And in such a scenario, education is one of the main scenarios summoned to reach a culture of peace.
Thus, this project (dialogically, participatively and critically) sought to understand the meaning given to it by university students, particularly the degree in philosophy and letters of the University of Caldas, to this topic. Above all, that important articulation with education.
It was addressed from the Educational Action Research. And it is found in a specific way, that education for peace, rather than a thematic content, is an attitude that must be transversal to all educational practices and that to achieve this, the teacher must be open to what students offer their students training.
That is to say, a scenario of education for peace occurs in the mutual construction of knowledge and not in a unidirectional way.
