ICT training from an intercultural perspective
digital inclusion for senior citizens in El Salvador

The study aims to investigate the needs, preferences and expectations of senior citizen in El Salvador with respect to ICT training from a cross-cultural perspective, in order to design educational programs that promote their digital inclusion and address their specific demands. This initiative arises from the lack of equitable and effective access of this demographic group to ICT training, facing significant barriers that restrict their full participation in the digital society. A qualitative methodology was used, conducting semi-structured interviews with 12 senior citizen. The results and conclusions point to the need to develop ICT training programs adapted to the needs and preferences identified, train competent and sensitive facilitators, promote intercultural sensitivity to ensure an inclusive and respectful learning environment, promote accessibility and inclusion, explore the use of television as an educational tool, among other aspects identified.
