This article presents the results of the identification of the level of digital competences of the teachers of Universidad del Valle, in order to improve the quality of the didactic interventions through the institutional EVA in the biennium 2019 - 2020. Within an eminently qualitative model, the methodology used is action research; through the application of questionnaires, the realization of semi-structured interviews and focus groups, among others, an approach has been made to the level of appropriation and use of five areas of digital competences in this group: information, communication, content design and its quality, security and problem solving. From the analysis of the results obtained, the improvement in the digital teaching competences of the university group is highlighted. The conclusion reached is that the theoretical assumption of the research is validated, since there is a significant relationship between the implementation of a teacher training plan in digital competences and the improvement of the quality of the didactic interventions.
