Improving education for young people and adults in El Salvador is essential to improve programs aimed at those who have not completed secondary school due to the complex political, economic and social situation in the country. The Ministry of Education, Science and Technology (MINEDUCYT) seeks to strengthen this level of education as a mechanism of inclusion for people in conditions of poverty, marginalization and vulnerability. Despite institutional efforts, deficiencies persist in the management of the flexible modality, especially in monitoring and evaluation mechanisms. To optimize its operation, a more effective control system is proposed that guarantees inclusive education and contributes to the cultural development of society. This research, with a qualitative-descriptive approach, uses data collection without numerical measurement, using theory, interviews and questionnaires to analyze the state of control and evaluation in flexible modality tutoring. It is recommended to optimize educational processes to benefit those who wish to resume their studies. In this context, the article argues the importance of the flexible modality as a viable alternative for adult education in El Salvador.
