Model of the Pedagogical University of El Salvador Dr. Luis Alonso Aparicio to the initial training of basic education teachers and the development of their pedagogical competencies. Our study was based on a qualitative methodology, using semi-structured interviews, with the general objective of delving into the contributions of teaching practice for the acquisition of pedagogical skills in graduate students of Basic Education Teachers. Specifically, we seek to understand the pedagogical model of Teaching Practice of the Pedagogical University of El Salvador Dr. Luis Alonso Aparicio and its theoretical foundation, as well as describe the pedagogical competencies developed by students with this model. The results show that teaching practice affects the development or strengthening of skills such as: mastery of disciplines, planning and organization of classes, and evaluation of learning, promoting skills in communication and classroom management. The research highlights the relevance of the UPED humanistic model in the training of teachers committed to inclusive and quality education, aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals. This study contributes to the strengthening of the Salvadoran educational system and provides a solid foundation for the continuous improvement of teacher training programs.Abstract
