The role of experimental activities in the educational quality of Geosciences highlights the need to incorporate laboratory activities aimed at developing procedural skills and promoting a comprehensive understanding of natural principles. In this study, the educational conditions of the training spaces in Geosciences of Universidad Pedagógica Nacional “Francisco Morazán” (UPNFM) were evaluated and described, and an educational intervention was proposed to influence teaching through the development of experimental activities that were concretized in the creation of a Manual of Earth Sciences; the conformation and distribution of didactic kits of materials and instruments for carrying out practical activities, the training of the teaching staff in charge of the Geosciences training spaces in the Regional University Centers of the UPNFM and the consolidation of the Geosciences Research Group (GIG). After the interventions carried out, an institutional interest in experimental activity in the teaching of Geosciences has been identified, as well as in the participating population for continuous training in the subject. Likewise,
the application at different educational levels of the developed contents and the potential of educational interventions for the development of research and social bonding in Earth Sciences have been verified.
