Abstract

The present work aims to explore the materiality and discourse of the Honduran pedagogical press La Instrucción Primaria (1895-1903) in its source / object dimension within the field of the history of education. Our objective was to problematize specific rationality parameters of the profession of the teacher related to its exercise and preparation. Both were analyzed under a registry in which we considered the professional aspect of the trade as a transversal axis, taking as a foundation the principles of gratuitousness, obligation and secularism framed in the positivist system divided into the Honduran Code of Public Instruction of 1882. In this sense, we highlight the representations and tensions of the finisecular educational sociability networks, thus contributing some elements that help to think about the mechanisms of democratization of Honduran education in the last quarter of the 19th century.

Andrés Eduardo García Laínez, Universidad Pedagógica Nacional Francisco Morazán

Graduado en Licenciatura en letras y lenguas - Universidad Pedagógica Nacional Francisco Morazán (2009). Tiene experiencia en el área de Educación, con énfasis en la enseñanza de español, trabajó como maestro permanente en el Instituto Oficial José Simón Azcona Hoyo en la ciudad de El Progreso; Profesor de español en el Programa de Educación Continua (PFC) y en el sistema a distancia de la Universidad Pedagógica Nacional Francisco Morazán en los campus de las ciudades de San Pedro Sula y La Ceiba.

José Gonçalves Gondra, Universidad del Estado de Río de Janeiro

Profesor titular en la Universidad Estatal de Río de Janeiro, tiene una maestría en Educación de la Universidad Federal de Río de Janeiro (1991), un doctorado en Educación de la Universidad de São Paulo (2000), con una pasantía postdoctoral en el Departamento de Historia de UNICAMP y en la División de Historia de la École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales, París (2008-2009). Coordinó el Grupo de Trabajo de Historia de la Educación ANPEd (2002-2005).
