The cultivation of tilapia is an important activity for the generation of foreign exchange that contributes to the economy of the country, but the growth of the crop is limited by the availability of fresh water and good genetic quality of the seed, the challenge being to find alternatives for Cultivate in brackish water. The objective of the study was to evaluate the effect of salinity on the productive performance of tilapia at concentrations of 5, 15 and 30 grams per liter with the planting densities of 5, 10 and 20 fish per cubic meter. In the trial, nine 3,000-liter tanks were used, handling the three salinity concentrations and the three planting densities in triplicate; the experimental design used was the Latin square to compare characteristics of the feed conversion factor (FCA); Condition factor (FC); Specific growth rate (TEC); Relative growth (CR); Absolute growth (CA); Thermal growth coefficient (CCT) and survival. The tilapia managed at the 5, 15 and 30 UPS concentrations did not show statistical differences (P> 0.05) in FC, FCA, TEC, CR, CCT. Tilapia cultivated at densities of 5, 10 and 20 organisms / m3 did not show conclusive statistical differences (P> 0.05) in FCA, FC, TEC, CR. In the survival data, no statistical differences were observed (P> 0.1036), stating that salinity and seeding density did not have a negative effect and therefore developed tolerance to salinity.
