Abstract

The subject has reference to the retention of water in agricultural land, it is to try to find out about alternatives that help water retention in soil and more in soils that are exhausted by the excess of work that farmers give . This topic covers absorbent polymers that although nowadays are little used in agriculture, they have carried out practices with these and have thrown positive data in favor of these polymers. Organic matter is also included as a hydro retainer because it helps water retention through osmosis, which means that the water passes from a place of greater concentration to one of lower concentration. It is about looking for an alternative to help improve soil conditions in agriculture, although there are times when farmers do not value what the soil gives us, which is the food and without it we do not survive.
