The agronomic characteristics of the production of madreado, used in cattle farms as live fences, scattered trees and implemented in the cattle feed, were determined. Where the description of the plant, utilization, nutritional composition, agronomic management and crop yield were determined. A literature review of specialists in the area under study was used. Finding that this species is a fodder bush is native to the lowlands of México and Central America. contains 32% raw protein when cutting every 45 days, used as a food for ruminants and monogastrics in 40% of the ration. The use of madreation on livestock farms can have several purposes; for feeding, live fences and carbon capture that are produced in the same production systems, This reduces the environmental pollution caused by greenhouse gases.
