POLICY AND EDUCATIONAL QUALITY FOR HUMAN DEVELOPMENT IN HONDURAS

he purpose of this article is to share the most important findings of the academic research called, “Policy and educational quality for human development in Honduras.” The most relevant topics developed were educational policy, educational quality, sustainable human development and the factors associated with the academic performance of the social sciences. The different topics were investigated with students, teachers and parents, then a possible scenario was proposed so that the country could reach a better stage of development. The study found that there are multiple relationships between politics and educational quality for human development, the academic performance of students was low and their context unfavorable for learning.
However, despite the difficult conditions for learning in the country, the model of effective school and educational resilience can become an outlet for the problem studied. The quantitative data was collected with a probabilistic sample, in the tenth grade, in an educational district, using closed instruments and standardized tests.
