This article analyzes the role that the Honduran liberal state had in shaping and externalizing a certain image of the nation in the National Exhibition of 1878 and the Universal Exhibitions or international fairs of the late nineteenth century, which constituted a cultural space to represent the natural features of the territory and publicize Honduras as a privileged country for foreign investment.
