Análisis de las metas académicas del alumnado de secundaria

This work is based on the goal orientation theory. The objective is to analyze the academic goals in academic context regarding to their gender. This work has been done with a sample of 25 secondary students Eternity Christian School & Institute, El Progreso, Yoro during the academic course 2019-2020; 7 men (28%) and 18 women (72%), analyzing their responses according to an Academic Goals questionnaire. The results show that these is no significant difference in the types of academic goals among teenagers. In addition, motivational profiles were not different in the studied groups. In conclusion, it is evident that students pursue their goals throughout the motivational component. It is, also, stablished that they give less importance to social reinforcement goals.
