In the history of Honduras, a mode of institutional representation typical of television has been intermingled with the mode of institutional representation typical of cinema, determined not only by the lack of rigor and theoretical debate on the subject, but also by the distortion that the vision of the political leadership of the country exerts.
On cultural issues; while the abandonment of the film sector by the public sector has led to a clear comparative underdevelopment with the rest of the Central American region, establishing a pre-eminence of television over the whole of the audiovisual imaginary.
