This article presents the progress of results regarding the teacher of the research project “Development of critical thinking in students and the methodologies that promote it by teachers at the Faculty of Social Sciences and Faculty of Humanities and Arts of the university city of University National Autonomous of Honduras”.
The text describes the object of study, prioritizing reflection from the pedagogical practices of teachers to contribute to the development of critical thinking. Similarly, it presents some dimensions of analysis that guided the research: conception of criticalstrategies and evaluation strategies. The study approach was from a quantitative approach with a descriptive scope, the population and sample were teachers of the III academic period year 2019 who taught subjects in which according to the study plan critical thinking is developed. The results indicate successes and weaknesses in the teacher’s work, concluding the need to carry out continuous training processes regarding critical thinking teaching. thinking, role of the teacher, didactic
