Abstract

This article is a reflection on the current status of three endemic species of Honduras. and its environmental and cultural importance to our nation. The main objective is to analyze these three species (an amphibian: Plectrohyla exquisite, a bird: Amazilia luciae and a reptile: Ctenosaura bakeri) captured in photography in order to testify to its fragile character and unique nature not only at the level country but also on a planetary scale. To achieve this purpose, we will review the situation global, regional and national to situate in its context the precariousness of these species emblematic of our country, as well as the precarious situation of species that share territory and also the same problem, which will help us to delve into the delicate nature-human relationship that endangers the infinite natural biodiversity of Honduras, Central America and the rest of the world, considering environmental law as a way to to preserve life, health and guarantee the economic and social security of each inhabitant of our nation, understanding that by saving the planet and its species, we also ensure our own future, intrinsically linked to them.
