In July 1972, the Revista de la Universidad published in its issue No. 6 an interview made by its director Longino Becerra (1932-2018) to the artist Moisés Becerra (1926-2018), both brothers and true icons when we deal with the subject of the history of Honduran art in the 20th century. His legacy is widely recognized, first as one of the pioneers in the formal writing on art criticism and the second has been from the most renowned plastic artists of Honduras both nationally and internationally. This year 2022 marks fifty years of publication of this transcendental interview that shows us the erudition of the painter to the express his way of seeing and feeling the art created by him, as well as the role of the artist in our society, a perennial discussion that until now is usually raised, not without giving rise to polemics between defenders and detractors of social art committed to their society and their destiny.
